THURSDAY FEBRUARY 28

4pm. Print Sale @ Studio 427 in Le Belgo, 372 St-Catherine West. Prints and small arty-objects by a great list of local artists will take place (with wine, obvs) at a 4th-floor Belgo studio this week. 9:30pm. The Laugh Pack Late Show: For People Who Dig Comedy @ The Segal Centre for Performing Arts, 5170 Côte-Ste-Catherine. A monthly stand-up comedy event hosted by Keith Waterfield and Lise Vigneault, featuring some great local talent and “extremely mature content” (so, awesome!) $5.

FRIDAY MARCH 1

7pm. Pain-Tuer/Dés-Seins @ Greenlight Gallery, 3878 St-Laurent. Check out this collaborative vernissage showcasing vesome incredible artwork by the amazing artists Regimental Oneton and Mireille R. Champagne. There will be beer and a DJ. Fin.

7:30pm. Amelia Curran @ La Sala Rossa, 4848 St-Laurent. Halifax songstress/beauty and Juno winner Amelia Curran will light up the stage with her incredible voice, bringing us tunes from her 2012 album ‘Spectators’, along with some of our older favourites! Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

9:30pm. Fucked Up Fridays @ Foufounes électriques, 87 St-Catherine East. For cheap drinks, metal and men with tattoos (and possibly studded leather) on a Friday night this is where you should be. $5.

SATURDAY MARCH 2

Montreal’s Nuit Blanche @ venues, art and urban spaces across the city. Montreal’s Nuit Blanche celebrates its 10th year in action this weekend with over 1080 activities involving 300 sites around the city and over 200 shuttles agents to transport your butt to as many cool events as you like! The metro system will also be running all night long, and a majority of events are free to attend. A full list of activities (categorized by neighbourhood) can be found here. Tips: travel in a small group, dress warmly (including waterproof footwear), decide ahead of time on one or two events you want to hit-up, and stick to them despite the line-ups that you will inevitably face!

Highlights include film screenings & poutine at Nouveau Palais, beer-tasting in a church, a collage party for crafty folk, an Art Matter exhibit at MainLine Theatre, free trendy haircuts and so, so much more.
