Regardless of how you feel about condos, chances are you’ll feel good about this. The Stop Community Food Centre is the focus of the latest event thrown by 109 Ossington, a loft development coming to the Queen and Ossington ‘hood. With the help of some amazing local chefs, they’re transforming the lot at 109 Ossington into Toronto’s longest communal table to support The Stop, which works to increase access to food.
Some favourite Ossington spots, like Yours Truly, Hawker Bar, The Lakeview, The Saint, The Grove, BQM, Boehmer and The Painted Lady, will be serving up delicious house favourites. Food and drink pairings will range from $2-8, and proceeds will be matched with a charitable donation to The Stop. Grasshopper Records will be spinning vinyl.
This is a great way to support a fantastic community organization, and enjoy a bunch of your favourite chefs in one place. Plus, we can’t wait to see what that 100 foot communal table looks like. They’ve got a warehouse space as back up, too, just in case it rains.
