She Does The City writers (and their boyfriends) have been getting their hair cut by Emily Lebel and Jesse Crowe for years, so we were especially excited when the two professional salon vets banded together to open their own place on Queen West near Trinity Bellwoods. The new space, decorated with vintage salon chairs, pieces by local artists, and handcrafted industrial fixtures, feels cool enough to kick around in all day—and knowing these two, you might be tempted to turn your haircut into an afternoon of beers and salon hangs. The two use delectable Kevin Murphy products, which aside from boasting delicious smells and great packaging are also paraben and sulfate free, and made from renewable and sustainable products when possible. Your follicles could not be in better hands than the hands of these ladies.
If you haven’t been by for a cut yet, then join them on Thursday, July 12th, at 7 pm when they’ll be celebrating the opening with beer, cupcakes, friends, and great local art and photography.
A consistently fantastic hairdresser is a near-impossible thing to find, and two of them in one place? IT’S A MIRACLE, I TELLS YA!
