Cooler nights mean less ice cream indulgences and alas, the Drake Hotel summer pop-up shop Drake Scoops + Tees has scooped its last scoop of the season. Fortunately though, the space will not go to waste – substituting dairy in a cone for hearty meat on a bun.
Opening this month, the menu will include Carolina-style pulled pork, beef brisket, and 60/60 (three ounces of each) sandwiches, whoopie pie, sour pickles, coleslaw, Ontario peanuts, and Covered Bridge potato chips – giving you a perfect alternative to that late-night poutine or pizza routine. Drake BBQ will be open Thursday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to however long the meat lasts.
