Harbourfront’s annual Free Flicks are all about food this year, so pack a picnic or pick a restaurant, and head down to one of these great open-air screenings by the waterfront.
July 7th: Julie & Julia, 8:45 pm
Pack a picnic with breads and cheese from Grain, Curd and Bean (1414 Dundas St. W.) and eat it down by the waterfront at HTO Park, before making your way to the screening.
July 14: Eat Drink Man Woman, 8:45 pm
Stop by Mother’s Dumplings on Spadina (make sure to order the #6), then take the streetcar down to the waterfront.
July 21: Super Size Me, 9 pm
You could get McDonald’s and eat it in the theatre, but instead, we’re going to recommend a delicious vegan feast at Fressen on Queen West, so you don’t spend the entire course of the movie hating yourself.
July 28: In The Mood For Love, 9 pm
Grab take out from New Ho King, (416 Spadina Ave, 416-595-1881) and slurp noodles as you watch this passionate love story.
August 4: Waitress, 9 pm
A slice at Wanda’s Pie in the Sky in Kensington Market is the perfect way to prepare for an evening of Keri Russel putting her feelings into pies. YUM!
