It’s only a matter of time before the Drake Hotel occupies the entirety of Queen West – and we can’t wait until it does! Continuing with their expansion eastward, the Drake will be opening up an ice cream and t-shirt pop-up shop next month beside their General Store, appropriately titled Drake Scoops + Tees.

Don’t get the connection? It’s simple, really. Ice cream cools you down and t-shirts keep you cool…two summer essentials available conveniently under one roof. Given the massive heat wave that’s consumed Toronto this week – and likely the rest of the summer – this business venture couldn’t have come at a better time.

Slated to open June 12, the shop will be collaborating with Shared clothing to sell their t-shirts alongside Metropolitan ice cream. This sounds like the start of a sweet summer love affair.
