Prominent voices will converge at The Great Hall for a concert, ceremony, and celebration in solidarity with Wet’suwet’en. Hosted by the International Indigenous Music Summit, funds raised will go towards supporting their ongoing efforts in growing a legal defense fund for Wet’suwet’en land protectors.
The current lineup of artists includes Serena Ryder, Zoey Pricelys Roy, Witch Prophet, Sarain Fox, New Tradition Music, Julian Taylor, Dancing Roots, Chantel Kreviazuk, Bear Witnesss, Amanda Reheaume, and more! This will be a memorable night.
Tickets are being sold on a sliding scale:
$10: if you’re making ends meet / $25: if you’re financially stable / $50 if you’re financially flourishing. If you cannot make the concert, but would still like to support, you can make a donation to help them meet their $10K goal. Grab your ticket, or make a donation now.
What is happening in Canada at this moment is not right. If you are still unclear, we rounded up a few resources that have been helpful in clarifying the issues. We all need to step up to let our government know how we feel, join the fight to protect our natural resources, and as allies, acknowledge that the land was never ours to take.
Thursday, Feb 27 at The Great Hall (1087 Queen St W). Doors open at 7pm, event kicks off at 7:30pm and runs until midnight.
