Sharing a building with The Healing Collective (1005 Danforth), Lost + Found is a boutique and social hub started by four east-end widows (Shannon Culver, Sarah Keast, Alexie Landry and Janice Tsao) who supported one other in the early months and years after losing their partners. As their friendships grew, they decided that Toronto could greatly benefit a permanent spot dedicated to self care, recovery, and mental health. (We’re grateful for all that they do!)
This coming Tuesday, as part of their Social Club offerings, they will be hosting a Herbs and Moods Workshop dedicated to “exploring herbal therapy as a tool in experiencing stress, grief, sadness, feelings of overwhelm, resentment, depression, anxiety, and/or general life waves.”
Partnering with Jordan Ramsay, a health practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, participants will learn the healing properties of various herbs and walk out with a personalized tea to enjoy, or gift a friend in need.
We think this sounds like a warm and nurturing way to spend a cold February night.
The Herbs & Moods Workshop will take place Tuesday, Feb 25 at Lost & Found / 7-9 p.m. / $25. More info on the Facebook event page.
