The Toronto Palestine Film Festival is debuting its first kids’ program! Throughout the TIFF Lightbox Lab (4th floor) on September 22, kids ages 5 and up are invited for craft-making, storytelling, screenings and more!

After the crafting session at 3:30, Sarah Abusarar will keep kids riveted as she tells engaging Palestinian folktales and fables that have been passed down through generations. Sarah comes from a long line of storytellers on her paternal side, and she’s shared these tales with children in refugee camps as well as refugee children in Toronto as part of their therapy. Following the storytelling will be a screening of The Tower (English language), which explores the story of the Nakba through the eyes of a young Palestinian girl.
