Under the Stars (Regent Park’s largest free outdoor film fest) returns this Wednesday night with the Oscar-winning Life of Pi.
Life of Pi follows the story of young Pi Patel, who is cataclysmically shipwrecked while moving from India to Canada with his family. Pi finds himself stranded on a lifeboat with the only other survivor: a ferocious Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. Bound by the need to survive, the two are cast on an epic journey that must be seen to be believed.
With a focus on increasing representation, Under the Stars features films that prominently feature Indigenous, Black and People of Colour on screen. The event, happening this July 31 at the big park in Regent Park, will include family-friendly pre-show activities at 7 p.m. followed by the movie at sundown.
