This summer, you can explore the rich heritage and achievements of Toronto’s Indigenous communities through a new, fully interactive experience. Presented by Myseum, and in partnership with Elder Dr. Duke Redbird, Wigwam Chi-Chemung (“Big House Canoe”) is an art installation meets Indigenous interpretive learning centre.

This forty-foot pontoon houseboat is covered with Indigenous artwork and will host public drop-in hours, offering a place for people to engage with, ask questions of, and learn from the perspectives of Indigenous Elders. Additionally, at Trillium Park Pavilion, the centre will host special performances and talks for Strawberry Moon (June 21) and Canada Day: An Indigenous Perspective (July 1), as well as a special presentation of Eagle Drum Girl.
