Next weekend, kids ages 6-9 are invited to craft creative kites, and then head outside to the park to fly them after lunch.
This session is part of an ongoing series, Kids Action & Arts Space, that brings in community artists and educators to facilitate arts and movement-based activities for two-spirit, queer, trans, and non-binary kids, as well as the kids of queer and trans families.
Using storytelling and connections to the body through arts, dance, music, and movement-based activities they aim to create spaces for all folks within LGBTQ2S communities.
Let’s Go Fly a Kite takes place next Saturday, May 4 at The 519 (519 Church Street) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. All materials will be provided and the event is free, but registration is recommended.
