7 pm Wavelength with Elizabeth Legge and Michael Snow @ The Drake Underground, 1150 Queen St. W. Considered one of the most important experimental films of all time, this Canadian artist’s work was named one of the Village Voice’s 100 Greatest Films of the 20th Century. The screening is free, but seating is limited. 

9:30 pm Cinemacabre: Street Trash @ Bloor Cinema, 506 Bloor St. W. Rue Morgue presents J. Michael Muro’s hobo-melting classic. 

FRIDAY    

6:30 pm we came in droves @ A Space Gallery, 401 Richmond St. W. Suite 110. Sculpture and performance by Insoon Ha, self-portrait photography by Jimm Tran, exploring the body as a site for history, culture, gender, and power. Ha will perform LEGION at 6:30, and the reception begins at 7.

9:30 pm Until The Light Takes Us @ The Royal Cinema, 608 College St. A feature length documentary chronicling Norwegian Black Metal-the subculture where murdering rival bands and burning churches are all part of a good weekend. 

11:30 pm The Room @ The Royal Cinema, 608 College St. The best cult film of the decade is back at the Royal. Come in costume, bring props, enjoy the ridiculousness. 

SATURDAY 

12 pm Bloor-Yorkville IceFest @ Cumberland St. between Bellair and Old York Lane. Come celebrate Canadiana with awesome ice carvings. 
7:30 pm Dances of Offering @ Betty Oliphant Theatre, 400 Jarvis St. An annual benefit, this year raising money for Liam’s Light, featuring the best amateur and professional dancers in the city, and hosted by Miles Faber of So You Think You Can Dance. $30. 

SUNDAY

1 pm Book Love @ The Tranzac, 292 Brunswick Ave. Come help the Toronto Women’s Bookstore, Toronto’s non-profit independent feminist bookstore. They are in crisis-and need your help. Come for a family-friendly day of performances, arts and crafts vendors, food and fundraising. 
2 pm Hunt and Gather @ Ward’s Island. Family and pet friendly urban adventure! Purchase tickets by the 18th at La Palette Bistro (256 Augusta Ave) in Kensington, and enjoy a day of scavenger hunts, activities, warm fires, food from La Palette, and tea. $20.
