The 2018 Mayoral Arts Debate is taking place on Monday, September 24 at 10 a.m. in Cinema One at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Produced by Artsvote Toronto and hosted by TIFF, the event will be moderated by author Noah Richler and will feature debate candidates Saron Gebresellassi, Jennifer Keesmat, Gautam Nath and Mayor John Tory.
ArtsVote Toronto is working to ensure that Toronto’s next mayor is committed to the strength and growth of the city’s cultural sector. The 2018 Mayoral Arts Debate will give candidates the opportunity to debate the role of arts and culture in Toronto, its impact on the economic health of the city and the role that artists play in city building.
