What was Toronto like in the 1970s? Is there anyone better to ask than former Mayor David Crombie? Always impressing us with smart, creative and innovative programming, Myseum of Toronto caps off its Myseum on the Move series with a back-in-time boat tour of our waterfront. GET ON BOARD THE CROMBIE CRUISE!
Who in your life loves a bit of history? Who enjoys bragging about a one-of-a-kind quirky experience they had? WE ARE THAT PERSON, ALWAYS.
Crombie, who served as mayor between 1972 and 1978 and as Federal MP between 1978 and 1988, will be joined by historian and Toronto Sun journalist Mike Filey to discuss the history of our shoreline.
Think of all the facts you’ll leave with to toss out at dinner parties! But also, when was the last time you putted around our harbour? There is a very nice breeze, you know, and lots to look at from a different perspective. At the very least, it will be something you’ve never done before, and who knows where your conversations will lead! Yes to doing something different.
The Myseum on the Move Crombie Cruise will be happening (rain or shine) on Wednesday, August 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will include dinner + drinks (and hopefully a gorgeous sunset). Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Get all the information here.
