You’ve got the talent, you’ve put in the work–now you need to get that coin. As a musician, there are LOTS of grants available to you; you just need to know where to look and how to apply.
At Music Grants 101, Rosina Kazi (the lead singer of LAL) will guide you through what grants are up for grabs (Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts and FACTOR) and how to put together your application package.
Kazi has been instrumental in the growth of many of the city’s female/queer artists and DJs, providing venues and forums for their music. This session is geared to QT2S and/or racialized communities/working class folks who are working towards a professional career in the arts.
Music Grants 101 takes place at Unit 2 (163 Sterling Rd) on March 1st at 7 p.m. Get tix here.
