H-A-L-L-E-L-U-J-A-H: One of the city’s most beloved holiday events is back this Sunday. Join thousands of Torontonians in a live sing-along to Handel’s Messiah at the historic Massey Hall.
If you’ve attended Tafelmusik‘s annual Messiah sing-along, you know it’s a treasured event like no other. If you haven’t, may we suggest you start a new family tradition! “The sound of thousands of people making music together is the most moving and joyful experience you could wish for,” writes Toronto Star. We wholeheartedly agree.
George Frideric Handel himself (aka Ivars Taurins in character) (with wig) conducts the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir and some of the city’s most beautiful voices: Joanne Lunn (soprano), James Laing (alto), Rufus Müller (tenor), Brett Polegato (baritone) and YOU!
From novice to pro – first-timers to sing-along experts – everyone is welcome! Bring your whole family, lift your voice, and be part of this iconic and annual holiday favourite.
This monumental occasion is going down Sunday, December 17th at 2pm. Tickets are general admission and seating is assigned by voice parts. Families and friends may sit together in the mixed-voice section.
