Get in touch with your dark side this autumn.
In conjunction with the upcoming exhibit Guillermo del Toro: At Home With Monsters (Sept. 30-Jan. 7), the AGO is presenting a series of talks where legendary creators share the sources of their inspiration, their relationship to the monstrous and the macabre, and riff on what freaks them out, artistically speaking.
Get up close and personal with Peaches (Oct. 3), The Prints of Goya (Nov. 15), Diamanda Galas (Nov. 27), and last but not least, our throwback fave (and Goosebumps author) R.L. Stine (Nov. 29).
And don’t forget to check out the exhibit while you’re there; it’s a rare glimpse into the world of renowned filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and his cabinet of curiosities. It reveals his creative process through his personal collection of art, artefacts, books, props, and ephemera, all culled from Bleak House, del Toro’s creative haven located in Los Angeles.
