Barriers for women in entrepreneurship and across industries are deeply rooted. Now, more than ever, we need to build spaces for women to leverage their shared experiences into action.
On March 22nd, head to MaRS Discovery District (101 College St) for a celebration of female entrepreneurs. This event will continue the IWD momentum by bringing male and female voices together in open conversations. Using clips from the Obama White House and Oprah Winfrey endorsed film, Dream, Girl, we’ll discuss shared experiences of women in the workforce, as well as strategies for managing entrenched attitudes.
Dream, Girl was created entirely by women, including Indo-Canadian film producer, writer and investor Komal Minhas – who founded KoMedia – to showcase the stories of women who are living out their dreams and inspire others to strive for greatness.
Roundtables will be hosted by women leaders in the startup space, creating an intimate environment where you can gain insight, find inspiration, and bring your expertise. Network with women and men who are committed to challenging the status quo and head out with strategies to uplift and support each other.
