Oscar who?
At this time of year, when many eyes turn south to celebrate actors, it is important to remember our incredible homegrown talent. Last Saturday night, the ACTRA Awards touched down on the Carlu to showcase our brightest stars here in the north.
This year’s event was hosted by the hilarious women from the Baroness Von Sketch Show, and Yannick Bisson (Murdoch Mysteries) clinched the Award of Excellence. Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) was in fine form, as was Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jean Yoon, Kari Matchett, Joey Klein, Linda Kash, Grace Lynn Kung, Gord Rand, Wendy Crewson, Eric Peterson, Shawn Doyle, Leah Pinsent, Art Hindle, and Tantoo Cardinal.
And they pulled it all off without any envelope screw-ups.
