An Honest Farewell kicked off their four-day festival with a wild and wonderful late-night bash that celebrated the legendary Honest Ed’s, while launching the Toronto for Everyone Fund (#torontoforeveryone #T4EO), which will help support initiatives that build inclusive communities within our city. BUILD BRIDGES, NOT WALLS!
Spearheaded by the Centre for Social Innovation and produced by Hima Batavia, Adil Dhalia and Negin Sairafi, this epic event brings together local artists, activists and cultural organizations into a four-day festival that truly celebrates the heart and soul of Toronto in all its colours, shapes, and sizes.
Running until Sunday, the very young to the very old are encouraged to explore and experience interactive exhibitions, art installations, performances, workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, and more. Embark on a wacky journey of the past, present and future of Honest Ed’s and Toronto at aMAZEment, and shop some of the city’s best food, flea, and farmer’s markets under one roof at Goodbyes & Good Buys.
Both free and ticketed events are happening all weekend long. Tickets are available online and through the box office at Bathurst and Bloor.
Enjoy the magic of what was, what is, and what will continue to live on in the streets of Toronto, albeit without the beloved neon lights and tacky signage that will be dearly missed.
