If you’re like me and dreading the prospect of being shut inside (with a toddler) all winter (slowly losing my mind) – fear not: The Evergreen Brick Works is coming to save the day (again) with its Winter Village.
From December 10th to December 23rd, head outside to savour flavours from around the world – from Tibetan momos to raclette – at the new Street Food Market; shop for locally made holiday gifts at the Evergreen Garden Market and the Holiday Makers Market (in partnership with Etsy), and explore Toronto’s 480-acre “super park.” They’ve got all sorts of activities to keep you busy: hiking, fat-biking, winter-themed scavenger hunts and family-friendly nature-based activities and crafts in the Children’s Garden. Plus, free public skating in the picturesque outdoor skating rink starts Saturday, December 10, 2016 (weather permitting).
The free Winter Village is a unique way to embrace winter in the city with no less than THREE public markets, cozy campfires and tons of outdoor activities. For the whole schedule of events, check here. Shop, feast, play (and get the hell out of your house for a change). You’ll thank me!
