Since 2013, Toronto Queer Zine Fair has been providing a platform to those often under-represented in the zine community. While TQZF accepts applications from all self-identified queer and trans folks, the voices of trans women, trans women of colour, queer people of colour, indigenous/two-spirited folks, non-binary folks, and Deaf and disabled people are prioritized.
This year’s fair takes place Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Trinity St. Paul United Church (427 Bloor St. W.), and with 75 vendors featured, is the biggest one yet! There will also be snacks, coffee and tea, and a quiet room available throughout the day for those looking to decompress or take a nap.
Admission is PWYC at the door with a suggested donation of $5, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Attendees are also asked to come fragrance-free, as there will be multiple vendors and attendees with multiple chemical sensitivities.
