Now in its seventh year, the Toronto Bicycle Music Festival is a concert series taking place in various parks across the city. Think of it as a music festival on wheels, powered completely by cyclists (that goes for the sound system too!).
This year’s festival takes place Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Ave.) and finishing at 6 p.m. at Prairie Drive Park (70 Prairie Dr.), with a group bike ride and mobile performance along the Lower Don Valley at 12 p.m. Performers include Jason Collett, Lido Pimienta, Nhapitapi, Moon Runners Dance Battle, Annabelle Chvostek, YUKA and the Heavyweights Brass Band, and alumnae from Girls Rock Camp.
Entry is free, but it’s recommended that you RSVP for the ride here. All venues are accessible by public transit, so you can still take part even if you don’t have a bike.
