One of the best parts about living in the GTA is being able to immerse yourself in vibrant festivals that celebrate cultures from all over. With over 200,000 visitors, Tamil Fest is BY FAR the most well-attended festival in Scarborough, and for good reason.

Organized by the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) this year promises to have more extravagant displays of Tamil culture and cuisine that highlight the multiculturalism of our city. Tamil Fest is a unique platform showcasing traditional and modern Tamil culture, cuisine, arts and entertainment.

Tamil Fest Highlights:

DANCE: Iswarya Prabakar, international TV star and anchor from Chennai, Tamil Nadu will be there both days teaching unique and collaborative Tamil dance styles for all to learn and enjoy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aishwarya_Prabhakar

Family Fun: Skip the CNE and hit the amusement rides here! Plus free world class and international Tamil entertainment on large stage for families and children of all ages.

Expect the streets to come alive! Plan an entire day trip, to take in the festival and then hit the breathtaking Scarborough Bluffs for a walk or beach time.
