CONTEST RULES
(the “Rules”)
- CONTEST PERIOD: The PopChips: Divergent – Set Visit Contest (the “Contest”) shall start at 3:00:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) on June 19, 2013 and closes at 11:59:59 PM EDT on June 30, 2013 inclusive (the “Contest Period”).
- SPONSORS: The Contest is sponsored by Entertainment One Films Canada. (“eOne”), and PopChips, Inc. (“PopChips”) (eOne and PopChips shall collectively be referred to as the “Sponsors”).
- ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence at time of entry, with the exception of: employees of the Sponsors, their respective parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of the Contest materials, members of the immediate family and those living in the same household as the foregoing. For these Rules, “immediate family” means legal or common-law spouse, mother, father, son, daughter, sister and brother regardless of where they reside.
- HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Any use of automated, robotic or pre-programmed devices or software, to submit entries is prohibited, and will result in disqualification from the Contest. Entries are subject to verification and will be disqualified if they are late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, irregular, submitted through illicit means, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these official Contest Rules. Entries must be received no later than 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on June 30, 2013 (the “Contest Closing Date”) after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries will be accepted. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry will be the server machine(s) of the Sponsor. Proof of sending an entry is not deemed to be proof of receipt. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by the Rules.
- PRIZES: The following Prizes are available to be won:
GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize consisting of a trip for two (2) adults (the declared Grand Prize winner, who has reached the age of majority in their province or territory at time of entry, and one (1) Travel Partner) to Chicago to the feature film set of Divergent which includes:
- Round trip economy airfare for two (2) to O’Hare International Airport (ORD) departing from a major international airport closest to the Grand Prize winner’s home on July 9, 2013, and returning on July 12, 2013;
- Three (3) nights standard, double occupancy accommodation in a hotel as determined and selected by eOne on July 9, 10 and 11, 2013;
- A visit for two (2) to the feature film set of Divergent
- 2 copies of the Divergent softcover book
- Month supply of Pop Chips (twenty four (24) 23g bags)
SECONDARY PRIZE:Three (3) secondary prize winners will receive one (1) signed copy each of the Divergent hardcover book.
All other expenses not specified herein, including but not limited to: ground transportation; meals; airport taxes; telephone, fax or cable charges; personal services and expenses such as laundry, valet, room service; gratuities; optional tours; insurance; medical travel documents; and other incidental costs and any other costs not specifically stated herein as being included, are the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner. The Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Grand Prize originates and terminates there.
The Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner must have a valid passport and travel visas and be able to legally travel to the United States of America (U.S.A.) on the dates specified. The Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner are responsible for all required medical and travel related necessities (including inoculations if required) and documentation. It is required that the Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner obtain medical insurance and it is recommended they obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. A valid major credit card in good standing must be presented by Grand Prize Winner or Travel Partner upon check-in to the hotel, otherwise a cash deposit may be required.
The Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner must travel together. The Sponsors reserve the right to select airline(s) and accommodation(s) at their sole discretion. The Sponsors and their associates will not be responsible if event cancellations or other factors beyond their reasonable control prevent the Grand Prize or any part of the Grand Prize from being fulfilled. In any such event, the Grand Prize winner will not be provided with a substitute or cash equivalent for the Grand Prize, or any such part of the Grand Prize. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $2,500.00 CAD plus applicable taxes based on Vancouver departure. Actual retail value will vary based on Departure Point of the Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner will work with eOne, or a third party travel agent of eOne’s choice, to schedule the trip. If the total dollar value of the Grand Prize is less than $2,500.00 CAD, the difference will not be refunded to the Grand Prize winner and the Grand Prize winner will forfeit such difference. The Grand Prize winner and his/her Travel Partner assume responsibility for any and all damages, losses or injuries of any kind that may arise while traveling. Hotel accommodations subject to availability and air travel scheduling subject to seat availability.
Grand Prize winner and Travel Partner must have their travel arrangements booked by no later than July 8, 2013. The Grand Prize will not be rescheduled or substituted once reserved.
- RANDOM DRAWS AND ODDS: The random draw for the Prizes from the eligible entries received will be drawn by Pop Chips and www.SheDoesTheCity.com on or about July 2.
Within two (2) business days from the time of the draw, the selected entrant for the Prizes will be notified either by: (i) an initial telephone call during regular business hours (EST) at the home telephone number or mobile number recorded at the time of entry or (ii) an email to the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within two (2) business days from the time of attempted initial contact by Pop Chips, an alternative entry may be selected until such time as a selected entrant satisfies the terms of this section.
Once contacted, a selected entrant must, in order to be declared eligible to receive a Prize, as applicable:
- comply with all Rules;
- correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question (which will be administered at a pre-arranged time with the selected entrant) without the assistance of another person or mechanical device; and,
- sign eOne’s standard declaration of compliance with the Rules, release and consent to publicity form (the “Consent”), which shall serve as the selected entrant’s agreement to release and indemnify all of the Sponsors and their parent(s), subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with the Contest and/or the prizes. If eOne does not receive a signed Consent back from the selected entrants within five (5) businessdays from the delivery of the Consent to the entrant, then such entrant shall forego any right or entitlement to the applicable Prize and another entrant’s name may be drawn.
The odds of being selected in the random draws depend on the number of eligible entries received. A qualifying entry and/or entrant may only win one Prize. If the entrant has satisfied all of the above conditions, the applicable Prize will be delivered to the address provided by the entrant on the consent within thirty days (30) calendar days of receipt of the fully and correctly completed Consent.
- GRAND PRIZE WINNER’S GUEST: The Grand Prize winner’s guest must also sign eOne’s standard declaration of compliance with the Rules, release and consent to publicity form (the “Guest Consent”), which shall serve as the selected guest’s agreement to release and indemnify the Sponsors and its parent(s), subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with the Grand Prize (and any part thereof). If eOne does not receive a signed Guest Consent back from the selected guest, the Sponsors shall not be obligated to provide the guest’s element of the Grand Prize.
In order to be declared the Grand Prize winner, the selected entrant and his or her chosen guest must be able legally to leave Canada and legally enter the U.S.A. and remain there for the period of the Grand Prize with respect to the specific dates booked. The selected entrant and his or her guest must each be in possession of a Canadian passport and applicable travel visas satisfactory to U.S.A. customs and immigration officials at time of travel. The Contest Sponsors assumes no responsibility should the Grand Prize winner and his or her guest be denied airline entry or entry into the U.S.A. or readmission to Canada for any reason whatsoever.

- COMPLETE SET OF RULES: For an additional set of these Rules and/or the Prize winners’ names, send a written request by self-addressed, stamped envelope (ensure that sufficient postage is included) to: 175 King Street East, 3rd Floor, Toronto, Ontario M5C 2Y7. - GENERAL RULES:
- Sponsors shall not be responsible or bear any liability for:
- late-received, lost, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, incomplete, destroyed or misdirected entries;
- entries which fail to comply with the Rules; and,
- any failure of the www.SheDoesTheCity.com website during the Contest Period, including any problems or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, human error, servers, access providers, computer equipment, printing errors, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, delayed or garbled data or transmission, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any material in the Contest, all of which may affect an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
- Sponsors accept no responsibility for losses, damages or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest.
- Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or suspend any portion of the Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsors corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
- By participating in the Contest, the Grand Prize winner agrees that his/her name, residence, photograph, voice and/or image may be used in any and all forms of media, without any further compensation by the Sponsors, and waives all rights (including moral rights) with respect to printed, broadcast and other forms of publicity. Written confirmation of the foregoing in the form of the Consent referred to above must be executed by the Grand Prize winner, and provided to the Sponsors prior to such winner being declared eligible to receive the Grand Prize.
- All entries become the property of the Sponsors and none will be returned.
- All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsors and the Sponsors reserve the right to cancel and revoke any entries if they are found to be improper or if the entrant is subsequently found to be ineligible pursuant to the Rules.
- In the event of unavailability of the stated Grand Prize (or any portion thereof), Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
- The Grand Prize is not transferable, not refundable, not redeemable for cash, will not be extended under any circumstances and must be accepted as offered. Any unused portions of the Grand Prize will be forfeited and will have no cash value. Sponsors shall not be liable to the confirmed winner of the Grand Prizefor any guarantee, warranty, condition or representation, express or implied, relating to the Grand Prize, including without limitation, its quality, condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors in awarding the Grand Prize, which decisions shall be final and binding upon all entrants. Failure to comply with the Rules may void an entrant’s rights vis a vis the awarding of the Grand Prize. Interpretation of the Rules by the Sponsors shall be final. Shipped Prize shall not be insured and the Sponsors shall not assume any liability for lost damaged or misdirected Prize. The selected entrant must be willing to accept delivery of the Prize upon Sponsors’ terms and designated delivery times.
- In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Selected entrants may be required to provide the Sponsors with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.
- The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
