Sneaky Dee’s

Nachos at 4am . . . yes please!

I don’t care if people call it sneaky disease, Sneaky Dee’s is a decent bar and a Toronto institution. Sometimes you just want a pitcher, a plate of nachos and a conversation with friends. Yes you could go to a firkin bar or the Madison, but don’t you prefer bars with a soul and a healthy estrogen / testosterone ratio? If you venture upstairs you’re quite likely to experience the dawn of a music revolution. Boundary breaking bands and djs heat up uninhibited crowds of indie kids. Wolf masks, flying drum sticks, leather, Motown tracks, accordions and Baltimore bass will probably surface here on any given night. If you remain unconvinced that Sneaky’s is deserving of this praise, Hollywood sweetheart Rachel McAdams and Breaker High alumnus Ryan Gosling celebrated new year’s eve there two years ago. If that doesn’t warrant Sneaky Dee’s being put on a list of favourites, I don’t know what does.
