Dishing the dirt on Duff with Jessi Cruickshank at The Drake

Worlds collided at the Drake Hotel last night when THE HILLS AFTER SHOW fans, (meaning Shedoesthecity readers) bumped into MTV THE HILLS AFTER SHOW HOSTS Jessi Crui c kshank and Dan Levy. Our hands were full of complimentary vodka, but the crew from MTV had their hands on something else – a Gemini! Congrats to MTV Live for winning best talk series – beating The Hills After Show and The Hour. Anyway – Gemini’s aside – I spent some time chatting with Jessi about Hilary Duff and her muff (okay not the muff part). For those who curbed your addiction to the Monday night Hills ritual last year, you may have missed the controversial show that caused a flurry of back peddling and glares of guffaw. Duff did a PSA blasting chicks who say "That’s so gay" when what they really mean is – "That’s stupid" or "That’s lame." This clip was aired during the Oct 8th show, following which Jessi and Dan threw to the opinionated and bitchy panel to discuss. When prompted to share her thoughts, mega-socialite Ainsley Kerr confidently said, "I think it’s gay". The red haired host has never looked so fired up, and this spawned a controversial convo over the "N" word and the "R" word. Last night, Jessi confirmed that this show received the most comments, buzz and ratings. What’s next week – abortion? Fur? We hope so.
