Actors: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Sigourney Weaver, Greg Kinnear, Steve Martin

In A Nutshell: Sophisticated and smart Kate Holbrook, played by our beloved Tina Fey, has spent her thirties working up the corporate ladder, penetrating the boys club. Now desperate to have a baby she finds herself infertile. As a last resort, Kate goes through a surrogate mother company, and is hooked up with white trash, loud mouth Angie Ostrowiski played by Amy Poehler. Angie ends up moving in with Kate and spends her days defaming the apartment with farts and gum as Kate works towards launching a new organic food market and holding down the fort at work in the role of first ever female VP.

Three Words to Describe:
Silly, Cute and Entertaining

Indicative Quotes: “Is it cool if I spray some PAM down there right before the baby comes out”
“I found this shell while running barefoot in the Toronto airport”
“It feels like I’m shitting a knife, why won’t you bitches help me!”

Reason I liked It: It’s amusing, and I enjoyed watching the two women play with each other. I imagined how much fun it would be to make the film. A fairly common issue experienced by many – this makes light of a heavy subject, in a refreshing and relatable way.

Annoying Qualities: It was cute, but not clever. I smiled, but only laughed out loud a few times. Tina Fey – you are smarter than this!

Film made me feel: Like I wanted to go home, spread my legs and get knocked up before I wilt and dry up.

You’ll Like This Film if You Liked: Something About Mary, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, My Best Friends Wedding, The Nanny Diaries

The Verdict: A good film to see to lift your spirits and make you chuckle, but don’t expect your belly to be aching from an eruption of laughter

Go See This Film With: Your sister or girlfriends, and then head to the bar chat about sex, love and making babies.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Forgetting Sarah Marshall definitely had more high-larity moments. Watch that instead if you're gunning for a comedy.

I'll probably start watching

I'll probably start watching this and get bored halfway through, like I did with 27 Dresses last night.

Love Tina Fey, but I'm sure I'll be disappointed with this.
